Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR)

Fort Indiantown Gap Morale, Welfare and Recreation is dedicated to providing quality recreational activities for those who work and train on the installation.

Our offerings include sports and fitness, hunting and fishing, Leisure Travel Services and events like the annual tree lighting ceremony.

Unit AT Dividend Requests

Army National Guard units conducting a minimum of 15 days Annual Training at Fort Indiantown Gap may contact us for information to submit Unit AT dividend requests at 717-861-2572 or email: jennifer.d.laughman.civ@army.mil.

Recreation Area Reservations

Picnic areas, ballfields and basketball courts may be reserved in RFMSS in the MWR fire desk. Please note trash cans and porta johns are no longer in the area. Trash cans can be signed for at 11-91 when checking in. Porta johns for PAARNG organizations must be requested ahead of time (15 days prior to requested dates) via a porta john request form (Found on PKO). All other organizations should contact building 11-91 staff at 717-861-2276 for porta john guidance.

Sports Equipment

Sports equipment such as horseshoes, footballs, baseball and volleyball equipment may be reserved and signed for at the Blue Mountain Sports Arena.

Boat Rentals

Fort Indiantown Gap MWR has three canoes and three row boats available for rental from April 6 through Sept. 30. The boats are permitted and can be used at any Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission or Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources state park or forest. Each boat rental includes two oars and up to four life jackets. Half day, full day, weekend and weekly rental periods are available at a first-come first-served basis. Military Personnel, civilian employees, retirees and dependents are eligible. Rentals can be scheduled and picked up through the Fort Indiantown Gap Training Center Warehouse, Bldg. 11-91.
