VISITOR INFORMATION
In the next several years we will be constructing what will become our East and Main gates, followed by the securing of the installation. This is being done in order to bring Fort Indiantown Gap up to contemporary Department of Defense standards for military installations.
During construction, individuals will still be able to access the installation, but how you get to the installation will change. We will ensure members of the public are kept well-informed of any traffic updates. Right now we are awaiting administrative approvals and permitting before making any additional announcements. Some additional background information may be found in our 2015 Joint Land Use Study, and Background report here: Regulations and Documents
Members of the public are encouraged to visit the following locations which are open to the public during business hours without prior coordination with authorities:
Photographing the above three public locations is authorized under AR 360-1 as historical building or areas of public interest.
All other areas of the installation to include the airfield are deemed restricted and photographs/videos are not authorized without permission.
Please use care when photographing at the static displays as the airfield is located directly behind the displays.
All other areas and buildings on the installation are restricted and prior coordination for access should be made with the appropriate office. Call the post operator at 717-861-2000 for the correct number, or visit the phone directory.
The installation does not offer tours.
